What is Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction?

TMJ disorders refer to conditions that impact the jaw joints, along with the surrounding muscles and ligaments. The temporomandibular joints connect the lower jawbone to the skull, enabling movement. When these joints become inflamed, they can cause varying levels of jaw pain and discomfort.

What is the treatment for TMJD?

Physical Therapy is thought to be one of the best forms of treatment for TMJ/D. It is proven to be effective for short and long-term relief with little to no ongoing symptoms.
