Many can experience and suffer from bladder and pelvic floor disorders.
The pelvic floor makes up your muscles, ligaments, and connective tissues that support your pelvic organs. Such as the bladder, vagina, uterus, and rectum. There are many possible causes of a weakened pelvic floor, such as childbirth, heavy lifting, the effects of menopause and aging, and other chronic medical and neurologic conditions.
What to Expect from Therapy
-
Expect us to begin with a detailed evaluation, to give us an understanding of who you are, what you have been dealing with, how it has affected you, and ultimately, what your specific needs are.
-
We will perform a physical assessment to learn about your posture, and ability to activate your deep core muscles and check for things like abdominal separation aka diastasis recti.
-
If warranted, we can do an internal assessment to pinpoint any pain with individual muscles and to test the strength/coordination of your pelvic floor.
-
Then, we create a treatment program tailored to your needs that teaches helpful exercises, behavioral changes, and specialized manual therapy.
-
Peeing yourself is NOT normal... Many of the things we see as "normal" and "just part of being a woman" are built on the lack of knowledge or care to help women where/when they need it.

LET'S NORMALIZE WOMEN'S HEALTH! We can help you overcome pelvic pain, incontinence, painful sex, and the lack of confidence in your body.
